The Sharks Swim Program
Golf Tournament Fundraiser - May 5 1:30 Shotgun
A highlight of pool activity each year is when the Balcones pools become infested with Sharks. The Sharks children's swim team, that is. The Sharks program offers social and athletic opportunities for Club children ages 5 to 17 to compete against the twelve other Northwest Swim Circuit teams. The program emphasizes good sportsmanship, teamwork and a healthy competitive environment. The children are taught the four competitive swimming strokes along with proper racing starts and turns. Shark practices begin on May 1 (afternoon practices after school), and switch to morning practices after school is out. Weekly Saturday morning meets are held during June and early July. The season culminates in a grand finale swim meet with all the teams vying for trophies and team honors.
Private Swim Instruction
Swim lessons are offered through the club from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
